(BEDFORD) - A West Baden Springs woman was injured after her vehicle was rear-ended on U.S. 50 East at the entrance of Leahy Greenhouse.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 58-year-old Cathy Riley was traveling east on U.S. 50 East and had stopped her 1992 Buick Century to turn into Leahy's Greenhouse when the vehicle was rear-ended by a 2012 Ford pickup pulling a trailer.
54-year-old Mark Garlitch of Saint Paul says the car stopped suddenly and without signaling and he could not get stopped in time before the collision.
Garlitch was not injured. Riley complained of neck pain and was taken by a Seals ambulance to IU Health Hospital for treatment.
Assisting at the scene was Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department and Bedford Fire Department extrication unit.
