(PAYNETOWN) - Monroe Lake invites you to bring your children and your own inner child to Paynetown State Recreation Area on Saturday, June 20, for the second annual Faerie Gathering.
Craft programs include faerie flower tiaras, wands, and glowing "dust" necklaces. A search for faerie treasure rocks will have people exploring the property and trails throughout the day. The day will conclude with an evening campfire program about faeries and mushrooms.
There also will be a faerie garden workshop at 6 p.m. The garden workshop is the only Faerie Gathering program that requires registration. Spots are limited to 10 people. Register by June 16 at bit.ly/faeriegarden. There is a $10-per-person workshop fee.
Aside from the Faerie Garden Workshop and the faerie dust necklaces ($2), all programs during the Faerie Gathering are free with property admission.
Program details and times are at stateparks.IN.gov/2954.htm.
Admission is $7 per in-state vehicle or $9 per out-of-state vehicle.
