(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man is facing meth charges after police say he sold the drug to an informant.
According to a probable cause affidavit, 29-year-old Steven Roll, of 1821 14th St., wanted on a warrant for dealing meth, possession of meth, is facing felony charges of dealing meth and possession of meth.
A member of the Lawrence County Drug Task Force was notified on June 7 that Roll was looking for someone to buy one gram of meth.
Police set up two controlled drug buys between Roll and a confidential informant.
The informant allegedly bought a total of 1.86 grams from Roll. One buy was doing within 500 feet of the Bedford Middle School. Police say children were playing basketball on the outside courts at the school at the time of the drug buy.
A warrant was issued for Roll's arrest and he was taken into custody Wednesday. He remains in jail on a $50,ooo surety or $5,000 cash bond.
