(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police are looking for a woman who robbed Petco on East Third Street in Bloomington Sunday night.
According to Bloomington Police Capt. Joe Qualters, the woman entered the store around 6:40 p.m. and was walking around the store. She then grabbed a book off a rack, placed it on the counter, put her hand in her purse as if she might have a gun and then demanded the cashier empty the register.
The clerk told the woman she would need a manager to open the cash register. The woman told the clerk to ring up the book and open the register which the clerk did.
The woman then fled the store and was last seen getting into an older beat up white two-door car with a skinny white man.
Police are looking for a white, heavyset woman in her mid-to-late 30s with dark hair. She was wearing a tank top.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Bloomington Police Department (812) 339-4477.
