(BEDFORD) - The Gallery Walk is seeking artist submissions for t-shirt designs to be printed on shirts that will be for sale later this year, supporting Bedford Revitalization Inc and their events.
The deadline for submission is Friday, June 12 at 1 p.m. Design theme for this year is, "Summer of Staying Alive."
"Artists can interpret the theme in their own way," says Tara Jones, Gallery Walk Committee Chair & Downtown Merchants Representative for BRI Inc. "Keeping arts in our community alive... Downtown businesses alive... or downtown activities in general."
Winners will be selected by public vote at Stone Cutter's Cafe during a fundraising event on June 13 from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m.
"With enough artist participation we'll print the winning design on the front of the shirts and on the back," Jones added.
Submissions need to be in digital format or as a comprehensive sketch. Artist will be given credit each time the imagery is used.
Money raised from voting on June 13 goes to help fund the Summer Arts Festival on July 26.
