(BEDFORD) - Harley Brown of the Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital Board of Directors announced his resignation on Tuesday, May 27.
Brown served the Board from 1999 to May 2015. After 17 years of faithful service to our community and to IU Health, he and his wife will be relocating.
Elected by the board of directors to fill the position of chairman, Jack Kenworthy began his tenure on June 1. From 1969 to 1972, he served in the U.S. Army in multiple roles including first lieutenant, company executive officer and platoon leader.
In 2013, Kenworthy received the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce Community Service Award and has served as Treasurer for the IU Health Bedford Hospital Board of Directors since 2008. In addition, he has held multiple leadership positions with Bedford Federal Savings Bank and served an additional 20 organizations and campaigns across southern Indiana.
"We are grateful to Harley for the years of service he provided to our hospital and the community," Brad Dykes, President & CEO, said. "His leadership and dedication will certainly be missed, but we are excited to have Jack as our new Chairman and look forward to the future of our organization as we continue to provide high quality, patient-centered care in Lawrence County."
