(JASONVILLE) - A Jasonville man was arrested after he left the scene of an accident and threatened police.
29-year-old Joshua Gilbert is facing charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, disorderly conduct, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, four counts of intimidation on a public servant and two counts of resisting law enforcement.
The incident began around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, when a Sullivan and Farmersburg officer were called to an accident.
Gilbert had allegedly struck a parked car and then attempted to flee the scene after getting into an argument with the owner of the vehicle.
Gilbert was located on the 300-block of Jackson Street outside his vehicle, reportedly intoxicated.
When the officers began to arrest him, Gilbert reportedly started shaking telling officer he had a medical condition.
An ambulance responded. Once at the hospital Gilbert allegedly became combative with police and hospital staff and threatened to burn down the police officer's homes.
