(MORGAN CO.) - Two Cloverdale residents were arrested late Wednesday night after an Indiana State Trooper saw their SUV stopped along Ind. 67 north of Indiana Street in Morgan County.
The trooper stopped to see if the motorist needed assistance. The two occupants declined help, but he noticed both 52-year-old Tony Williams and 49-year-old Melissa Hatcher seemed to be under the influence of a controlled substance and they were extremely nervous.
A K-9 was called to the scene and alerted police to possible drugs in the vehicle. Officers found marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia inside the SUV.
Both Williams and Hatcher were arrested on charges of possession of cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
