Open Class Exhibits For 2015 Lawrence County 4-H Fair

(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County 4-H Fair Board are looking of open class exhibits for the 2015 4-H Fair.

Open class exhibiting is open to any age exhibitor from Lawrence and surrounding counties.

Exhibitors will compete for cash prizes for first, second and third placings in their respective categories, as well as the best exhibit in each project.

Entries for open class competitions will be accepted in July. The entry fee is $5 for up to 10 exhibits, and $1 for each additional exhibit. Exhibitors are asked to bring their items to the Home & Family Arts building from 5-7 p.m. July 16 and 17.

No preregistration is required.

Children 12 and younger can also enter exhibits in the "creative kids" category a $1 entry fee per child.

Exhibits will be accepted in the following categories:

Items due on July 16 between 5-7 p.m. include collections, fine arts, food preservation, handicrafts, leather crafts, needlecrafts, photography, refinished furniture, sewing and creative kids for those ages 12 and younger.
Items due on July 17 between 5-7 p.m. include antiques, cake decorating, foods, quilts, flowers, vegetables, agriculture products, other horticulture products and creative kids for ages 12 and younger.
