(UNDATED) - A Jackson County man wanted for armed robbery in Kentucky was arrested early Friday morning in Bartholomew County.
The Seymour Tribune reports that police arrested 21-year-old Elonzo Simmons of Seymour at 4:22 a.m. Friday when Indiana State Trooper Korry Clark stopped a moped with no license plate on State Road 7 near County Road 450E.
During the stop, Clark said he was able to determine Simmons was wanted for robbery out of Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Simmons was found in possession of cocaine and marijuana and was arrested and transported to the Bartholomew County Jail in Columbus.
Besides the Kentucky warrant, Simmons is facing a felony count of possession of cocaine and a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. He also was cited for no endorsement of identification to operate a moped.
