(SPRINGVILLE) - A Springville man was injured after the brakes on his vehicle locked up causing his vehicle to overturn Saturday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 20-year-old Jacob Mitchell was traveling east on Popcorn Road, west of Spencer Pike Road when he says the brakes on his 1979 Mustang locked and he couldn't turn his car in a curve, causing the vehicle to travel off the south side of the road and flip. The car rolled and landed on its top.
Mitchell suffered fractures and dislocation to his elbow and lower arm.
He was taken by an Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
Mitchell was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol.
