(PAOLI) - The Orange County Drug Enforcement Unit arrested three people after finding a large amount of heroin at a home in Paoli.
On June 10 at 4:40 p.m., the drug enforcement unit executed a search warrant at 1126 Smith Circle.
When police arrived they found Angel Riley, Shannon Edwards and Jeremy Mason at the home with an 8-year-old handicapped child.
When police entered the home, Riley's child was found standing in the kitchen and the three adults were in a bedroom.
During the search of the home officers found a large amount of heroin, hypodermic needles, digital scales and items used in the dealing of heroin.
All three adults were arrested. The Department of Child Services was contacted and the child was released to her grandparents.
Riley and Edwards are facing felony charges for dealing heroin over 10 grams with a child present, possession of heroin over 10 grams, unlawful possession of hypodermic needles and maintaining a common nuisance.
Mason is facing charges for possession of heroin with a child present, unlawful possession of hypodermic needles and visiting a common nuisance.
The Task Force say these arrests would not be possible without the tips and information received from the citizens of Orange County. They would like to thank the citizens for assisting them in their efforts to keep Orange County a safe and healthy place to live. Police say if you suspect illegal activity in your area contact your local sheriff's or police department.
