(BEDFORD) - A precautionary boil order has been issued for areas of Bedford.
Effective approximately at 7 a.m. Friday, July 17 to 7 am. Sunday, July 19 a precautionary boil order will be issued when water is restored for the following areas:
All of Edgewood Addition, Beech St, Hillcrest Road, Poplar St, From Pizza Hut west to First Church of God, from Wendy's east to Enterprise Rent a Car and across 37 to Bex Addition, Marshall Dr, and State Road 450 for all Bedford City Utilities Customers
The precautionary boil order will remain in force until further notice. The order was issued due to a 12" water main break on 16th St. in Bedford.
You should bring all water to a boil, letting it boil vigorously for 2 minutes. Let water cool before using or used bottled water.
Pre-boiled or bottled water should be for drinking, brushing teeth, washing vegetables, washing dishes, making infant formula, all food preparation and consumption, and making or using ice until further notice.

This line is scheduled for replacement this year.
