(DUBOIS CO.) - Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident just east of the Dubois Crossroads early Wednesday night.
According to a Dubois County police report, two adults and two children were injured in the accident at Ind. 56, about a mile east of Ind. 545.
According to police 57-year-old Brain Baker of West Baden crossed the centerline of Ind. 56 and drove into the path of a car driven by 54-year old Jeannine Martin of Jasper. The two vehicles collided head-on.
Both drivers had to be freed from the wreckage. Both were taken to Memorial Hospital in Jasper and then flown by helicopter to St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville with non-life threatening injuries.
Two children in martin's car, ages 2 and 10 months, were taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police say the children were properly restrained in their child safety seats which lessen the severity of their injuries.
