(MITCHELL) - Hoosier Uplands would like to announce a 60’s themed event on Saturday, August 1 from 1 p.m. till 4 p.m. at the Opera House in Mitchell. The celebration, which is free to the public, will commemorate Hoosier Upland’s 50th Anniversary.
Hoosier Uplands (originally named LOW) was incorporated in 1966.
Providing entertainment will be Twisted Gold, a 60's artist tribute band, a Super Oldies 105.5 WQRK live broadcast, prizes, face painting, temporary tattoos, popcorn and sno-cones and a best dressed in 60's attire for both adults and children.
Since the agencies incorporation on January 24, 1966, it has been the mission to alleviate poverty, improve living conditions and provide access to health care and social services to those families and individuals in need within our service area. All endeavors are pursued with the client in mind, never forgetting the value of every human being or the importance of our responsibility to the public which we serve.
Officials hope everyone will come out and help celebrate and allow them to say thank you to those who have added to Hoosier Uplands success over the years.
