Road closure required for road and overpass construction on Kinser Pike and Vernal Pike in Bloomington rescheduled for July 20th.
The closure of Kinser Pike will begin on or after July 20 and will remain closed through late December.Kinser Pike east of State Road 37 will be closed from S.R. 37 to Bayles Road. Traffic will be detoured via Acuff Road and S.R. 37 during construction and open to local traffic only.
The I-69 Development Partners Team also announces the postponement of Vernal Pike road closure.Vernal Pike west of State Road 37 is scheduled be closed from Woodyard Road to Industrial Drive. During construction, traffic will be detoured via Curry Pike, S.R. 46 and S.R. 37 during construction and open to local traffic only. The existing traffic signal and access to Industrial Drive will remain open until the Vernal Pike roadway and overpass is complete and open to traffic. Access to Packing House Road will be via Vernal Pike to the west during Phase 1 construction and via S.R. 37 and Industrial Drive during Phase 2 construction.The closure of Vernal Pike will begin on or after July 20 and will remain closed through late December.
