INDOT Announces Lane Restrictions For Bridges Spanning Spider Creek

Last updated on Tuesday, July 14, 2015

(BEDFORD) - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane restrictions for the bridges spanning Spider Creek on U.S. 50/State Road 37 as a part of a pavement overlay project.

On or around Wednesday, July 15, weather permitting, contractors will begin paving both bridges on the divided highway and performing maintenance on the bridges' substructure. During the work both will be restricted to one lane around the clock and will have a 14-foot maximum width restriction. Arrow boards and barrier walls will be in place to control traffic.

Depending on weather conditions, the work is expected to last until mid September.

INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews. For construction updates and traffic alerts, follow INDOT on Facebook at www.facebook.com/INDOTVincennesDistrict and Twitter at www.twitter.com/INDOTSouthwest, or access INDOT's TrafficWise website at http://indot.carsprogram.org.
