(LOOGOOTEE) - A man was pulled out of West Boggs Lake after he wrecked his jet-ski Sunday night.
Daviess County Sheriff's Department was notified about the accident around 10 p.m. after a man reported someone had taken off for a ride on a jet ski and had not returned.
The Daviess County Sheriff's Department has a boat docked at the lake and it didn't take long for officers to begin their search.
Searchers from the sheriff's department, conservation officers and volunteer firefighters combed the lake for the missing man. He was found by a member of the Madison Township Volunteer Fire Department in a cove on the other side of St. Mary's Road.
"He was hanging onto a tree stump waiting for help," says Daviess County Sheriff Jerry Harbstreit.
The firefighter brought the man, who police have not named, back to be medically cleared, while officers located the jet-ski and brought it back.
"He did not appear to have suffered any serious injuries," Sheriff Harbstreit added.
The incident is still under investigation.
