(BLOOMFIELD) - A Republican caucus has been set to fill a vacant Ward 2 Bloomfield Town Council seat.
According to GOP County Chairman Paul Clark, a caucus will be called on Wednesday, August 5 at 3 p.m. at the Bloomfield Town Hall.
The caucus is being called after the passing of Board Member Eric Harrah.
The Greene County Daily World reports, the caucus will consist of the GOP Central Committee. The voting members will consist of the four Precinct Committeemen from Richland Township, which include Randall Brown, Betty Dean, Warren Bartlett, and Eddie Vest.
In order to be eligible for the council seat, the person must live within Ward 2 in Bloomfield. They are also required to be a Republican in good standing who voted Republican in the last primary election.
Those interested in the position need to contact Paul Clark to fill out a candidate form. All forms must be submitted a minimum of 72 hours prior to the caucus on August 5. Clark can be reached by calling (812) 798-8075.
