(BEDFORD) - Three people were arrested after police found drugs Sunday night.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, a Bedford officer was on foot in the parking lot of Wendy's looking for a person wanted on a warrant when he passed a vehicle and noticed the driver on the phone with a bag of a green-leafy substance.
The officer stopped to talk to the driver, 18-year-old Garrett Hostetter of Bedford, and discovered the baggie contained marijuana.
"At that time two other officers were called to the scene because there were two other individuals in the vehicle," Parsley says.
Police say the front seat passenger 19-year-old Cheyenne Sullivan of Mitchell had a baggie that contained pills and another baggie of marijuana.
"The back seat passenger 19-year-old Jordan Wigley was then asked if he had any drugs and he pulled out several baggies that contained both pills and marijuana," Parsley says.
Police arrested Wigley of Mitchell on charges of visiting a common nuisance, possession of marijuana under 30 grams and possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
Sullivan was arrested on charges of visiting a common nuisance, possession of marijuana under 30 grams and possession of both a schedule II and schedule IV controlled substance.
Hostetter is facing charges of possession of marijuana under 30 grams and maintaining a common nuisance.
