(WASHINGTON) - A Washington couple was arrested Tuesday on charges of neglect of a dependent resulting in serious bodily injury.
Police arrested 19-year-old Matthew Palmer-Coy and 28-year-old Candis R. Freeburn after police were contacted by the Daviess County Department of Child Services.
The agency contacted the Department on July 16 in regard to a 5-week-old infant that was being treated for an injury at the Daviess County Hospital. The child was transferred to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis for further treatment and during additional examinations other injuries were found.
Both were being held in the Daviess County Jail without bond.
