(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was arrested on charges of domestic battery Saturday after she allegedly injured a man at a home on Woodsferry Road.
According to Sheriff Mike Branham, officers arrested 40-year-old Melissa Greene after a man came to the sheriff's department around 3 a.m. to report he had seen a Facebook post for help at the Woodsferry home.
Branham says this was not the first time officers had been called to the home.
When police arrived they found Greene "out of control and destroying items in the house."
The man told police that Greene had tried to get him arrested for battery earlier "even though he hadn't done anything."
"Evidence at the scene and his injuries proved his story that he was the victim," Branham added.
The man had numerous scratches on both is fore arms.
"He had suffered those injuries the day before and had sent out a message for help early Saturday morning," Branham says.
