(BIRDSEYE) - Officers attempting to serve an arrest warrant Thursday not only found their suspect, but also found heroin and drug paraphernalia.
Around 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Indiana State Police, along with Dubois County Sheriff's deputies, attempted to serve an arrest warrant at 8332 Sinclair Road in Birdseye.
The warrant, issued by Clinton County authorities, was for the arrest of 26-year-old Ashley Mae Worth of Frankfort for a probation violation. Officers located Worth inside the home and placed her in custody. While inside, officers located a syringe containing heroin.
Worth was taken to the Crawford County Jail without incident. She will be held on the local felony charges of possession of heroin, possession of a syringe, misdemeanor charges, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance before being extradited to Clinton County for the probation violation.
