(BLOOMINGTON) - A woman was attacked while she was running on the B-Line Trail in Bloomington, Saturday morning.
The woman, who was not injured, told police she was running north on the trail near pole No. 27, south of Grimes Lane around 7:20 p.m. when a man jumped out of the woods and grabbed her around the neck, taking her to the ground and threatened her. The woman began screaming, which caused the man to release his chokehold and flee back into the woods.
According to Bloomington Police Lt. Brad Seifers, police searched the area but were unable to locate the man.
The man is 5-feet, 10-inches tall and about 170 pounds with very short hair or balding. He was last seen wearing a black jeans and brown work boots.
