(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he allegedly pulled a gun and pointed it at another motorist during a road rage incident Friday.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called by several motorists reporting the road rage incident that began on Ind. 37 and ended at 22nd and I streets.
According to police 19-year-old Joseph Cieslik was brake checking vehicles and swerving in front of vehicles on Ind. 37, John Williams Boulevard and Lincoln Avenue until a confrontation ended with one motorist at I and 22nd streets.
Police say the motorist had pulled over in front of Cieslick at 22nd and I streets after he thought Cieslick wanted to speak to him.
That is when Cieslick allegedly rammed the rear of the motorist's vehicle. He then allegedly pulled a gun and threatened the motorist.
Cieslick told police he felt threatened by the other driver and that is why he pulled his handgun, but witnesses say Cieslick was the one making the threats.
Officers recovered the handgun and arrested Cieslick on charges of criminal recklessness armed with a deadly weapon, pointing a firearm, criminal recklessness and intimidation.
