(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after the Lawrence County Drug Task Force say he was dealing heroin.
The Task Force along with Bedford Police officers arrested 26-year-old Brandon Miller of Bedford on two counts of dealing heroin in the presence of a minor, dealing heroin, two counts of possession of heroin in the presence of a minor, two counts of possession of heroin less than one gram possession of meth less than 5 grams, possession of meth in the presence of a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
According to police, Miller sold a tenth of a gram of heroin to an informant when there were people under the age of 18 present. After that drug deal, Bedford Police officers stopped Miller on a traffic violation in the parking lot of Crowder's Pharmacy.
Officers found a small amount of heroin and .29 grams of meth in the vehicle. They also located a pipe that tested positive for marijuana and other drug paraphernalia including a cooking spoon and several used needles.
The marked-money from the control buy was also recovered.
Drug Task Force Officers were also able to purchase heroin from Miller in late July. Drug Task Force Officers were contacted by an informant stating they could buy one tenth of a gram from Miller. Drug Task force members were able to have the informant purchase the drugs and again this was done in the presence of a minor.
Miller was also arrested for possession of heroin in January of 2015.
