(BLOOMFIELD) - During the Eastern Greene School Board’s Special Session last week, High School Principal Kevin Frank announced his resignation to pursue other career opportunities.
The Greene County Daily World reports that the Eastern Greene School Board held a special session Monday night and passed a motion to transfer Middle School Principal Doug Lewis to fill the vacant position as the high school principal for the upcoming school year, which begins today.
Dennis Massengill was then appointed to serve as Middle School Principal. Fifth Grade Teacher and Varsity Assistant Football Coach Travis Wray resigned from his positions, leaving the school board with two more positions to fill.
Varsity Volleyball Coach Whitney Richardson was hired as a replacement fifth grade teacher and Danny Tieken was hired as the new assistant football coach. Tieken's contract will only be for the upcoming school year.
Board President Michael Adams was also approved to serve as a volunteer football coach for the high school. This is not a paid position and he will only be present to help when needed a few nights a week.
