(GREENE CO.) - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane restrictions for a bridge on State Road 54 near Bloomfield.
On or around Wednesday, contractors will close one lane of the bridge spanning Indiana Railroad right of way between Lester Street and County Road 70 East. Crews will perform a bridge rehabilitation including replacing joints, patching and sealing pavement.
Restrictions will be in place during the work day. Flaggers will be in place to help direct traffic. In the evening, the contractor will pull back any traffic control devices and allow normal movements. The project is scheduled to be finished by mid September. Inclement weather could cause delays.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews. For construction updates and traffic alerts, follow INDOT on Facebook at www.facebook.com/INDOTVincennesDistrict and Twitter at www.twitter.com/INDOTSouthwest, or access INDOT's TrafficWise website at http://indot.carsprogram.org.
