(BROWN CO.) - Joining only 33 other locations total worldwide, Brown County received recognition from the International Mountain Bicycling Association as a Ride Center, August 5.
"The Ride Center designation represents Model Trail recognition for large-scale mountain bike facilities that offer something for every rider and are destination-worthy areas that include everything from backcountry adventure to purpose built flow trails and range from expert-only to family-friendly," reads the press release from Hoosier Mountain Bike Association executive director Tammy Mebane.
Mebane said she believes that while Brown County is already a recognized mountain biking destination for the midwest, the designation will generate more interest in, and bring more visitors to the area.
