(LINTON) - A Linton man, who was wanted on warrants in two counties, was arrested.
Police arrested 22-year-old Joshua Cox on warrants charging him with of unlawful possession of a syringe, possession of drug paraphernalia and conversion in Sullivan County.
Police say they found Cox in possession of drugs and paraphernalia after police stopped him during an investigation into a shoplifting incident on July 12, at the Dollar General Store in Shelburn.
Cox stopped the vehicle Gibbs was in and he admitted to stealing several items from the store. Officers searched Cox's vehicle and found Benadryl capsules, a syringe, razor blades, a set of digital scales, a knife, hair dye, nasal spray, Nicorette gum and a white powder that reportedly initially tested positive for meth and cocaine.
In Greene County, a criminal case was filed against Cox on June 1 following an incident that occurred on May 29. In that case Cox was charged with possession of a controlled substance. He posted bond and the case has been pending. but on July 27, a petition to revoke his bond was filed and a warrant was issued out of Greene Superior Court for his arrest.
