(CLINTON) - A Loogootee man was severely injured in a semi crash in Vermillion County last week.
For an unknown reason, the semi driven by 68-year-old Ronald Allen ran of State Road 63 just south of Clinton late Thursday night.
The semi took out an estimated 25 feet of guardrail and ended up several feet off the road in the woods. The truck was hauling lumber and some of that lumber pinned Allen down in the semi.
It took nearly two and a half hours to free him. Once Allen was freed just before a.m. Friday morning. He was flown to Methodist Trauma Center in Indianapolis with multiple injuries.
