(OOLITIC) - An Oolitic woman is now facing additional charges after police arrested her on a warrant Friday night and found her in possession of drugs.
A man who was with her was also arrested after he admitted to smoking marijuana.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Mike Branham, officers were called to Oolitic after they received information that 19-year-old Tiffanie Dike, who was wanted on a warrant in another county, was at a home in the 1000 block of Walnut Street.
When officers arrived they found Dike in a vehicle with 20-year-old Marcus Burke of Bloomington.
Officers arrested Dike on the warrant and, as they were searching her, they found two white pills and marijuana in her purse.
"Officers then spoke to Mr. Burke and noticed he was impaired," Branham added. "He admitted he had been smoking marijuana."
Officers located marijuana in the console of the vehicle and a smoking device with marijuana residue on it in addition to pills.
Dike was arrested on the out-of-county warrant and addition charges of possession of a legend drug, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Burke is facing charges of a possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule IV and II controlled substance, illegal consumption and possession of drug paraphernalia.
