(MITCHELL) - Mitchell city officials voted to increase part-time employee’s hourly rate from $8.70 to $10 an hour.
Mitchell Clerk-treasurer George James says it is hard to keep employees when fast-food restaurants are paying higher hourly rates.
The Times-Mail reported the city has five part-time employees: two bus drivers, two in the street department and one in the cemetery.
