(KURTZ) - A 23-year-old Norman man is facing three criminal charges after he fled from Jackson County Police Saturday night in the Gorbett’s Chapel area.
The pursuit ended on a dead-end street.
Ethan Singer was arrested after a brief pursuit that began around 10:30 p.m. when Jackson County Police Officer Adam Nicholson attempted to stop him for speeding on County Road 625 North near Freetown.
According to police Singer, who was in a black 1998 Toyota passenger car, continued to drive west on County Road 625N before turning south on County Road 875W toward Kurtz.
He then drove through Kurtz and turned west on Second Street before leading police down a dead-end road to a home where he was arrested.
Singer is facing a Level 6 felony charge of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle; operating while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content 0.15 percent or greater.
He is being held in the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown without bond pending his initial hearing.
