(BEDFORD) - Bedford Police have received several complaints of a phone scam in the area where the caller threatens the victim if they don’t pay medical bills.
Police say that if you receive one of these calls it is recommended that you do not offer any personal information including bank account information.
If you are concerned that you owe a hospital bill police ask you call the hospital to verify it. Never trust someone over the phone.
