(MITCHELL) - Three people were injured after a two-vehicle accident on Ind. 37 near Rariden Hill on Thursday.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 28-year-old Yvonne Haste of Mitchell crossed the northbound lanes of Ind. 37 and had pulled her 2003 Pontiac Montana into the median to enter southbound traffic when she failed to yield to oncoming traffic and pulled into the path of a 2013 Acura driven by 75-year-old Sharon Polk of Jeffersonville.
Haste was not injured during the incident.
Polk and her two passengers, 71-year-old Connie Booker of Norman and 73-year-old Sandra Cooper of Orleans, all complained of head pain and were taken by ambulance to IU Health Hospital for treatment.
