(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after an accident on Tunnelton Road late Wednesday afternoon.
According to a Bedford Police report, 21-year-old Christopher Weilbaker of Bedford was traveling south on Tunnelton Road approaching Brookside Drive when his 2002 Dodge Neon slid sideways and spun 360 degrees before striking a utility pole. The vehicle then overturned and landed on its top.
Weilbaker told police he was entering the curve when his car began sliding on the wet pavement. He told police he tried to correct the vehicle, but that caused the vehicle to spin out of control.
Weilbaker suffered cuts to his right hand and was treated and released at IU Health Hospital. Upon his release he was arrested on charges of driving while his driver's license was suspended with prior convictions, DWS causing bodily injury, driving while on expired driver's license and cited for no financial responsibility.
