(BEDFORD) - A Bedford woman was injured after two vehicles collided at Seventh and X streets Saturday afternoon.
According to a Bedford Police Department report,56-year-old Anthony W. Sego of Bedford was leaving the Dollar General Store parking lot in his 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee and was attempting to cross X Street to travel onto Seventh Street.
Sego told police that he was crossing X Street when his Jeep was hit by a 2001 Chevrolet sedan that was traveling north on X Street. The Sedan was driven by 71-year-old Shirley Brown of Bedford.
Brown told police that the Jeep had pulled in front of her sedan and that she could not avoid the collision.
After impact Brown's Sedan struck a guide wire to a utility pole causing the vehicle to roll onto its side.
Brown was trapped in the vehicle and was freed by firefighters with the Bedford Fire Department.
Brown suffered shoulder and upper arm injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment.
Sego was not injured during the incident.
