(MITCHELL) - Hoosier Uplands and the Mitchell Opera House are partnering with the Indiana Arts Commission to offer a free theatre camp.
Students will stretch creativity and bravery through daily rehearsals and two performances of an adaptation of the "Wizard of Oz". No acting experience is necessary.
The camp will take place October 19-24 at the Opera House and is free. Students will meet from 3 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., October 19-23. They will then perform at 7:30 p.m., October 23 and at 11 a.m. on October 24.
Registration forms are available at the Hoosier Uplands office, 500 W. Main St., Mitchell.
The camp is funded through the Indiana Arts Commission. Compass Creative Dramatics, a theatre company from Chicago, will provide the program.
