(LINTON) - The Linton Police Department has confirmed that a bomb threat was received by the Linton Walmart store on Friday, September 11. The store has been closed.
The threat was issued at between 11:10 to 11:15 a.m.
Following the threat, employees and customers were evacuated from the store.
A representative of Walmart's media relations said, the company take these threats very seriously and are working with police. Their top priority is the safety of their employees and customers.
Personnel from the Indiana State Police K9 Unit, Police Department, Greene County Ambulance Service and the Linton Fire Department are on the scene along with personnel from other agencies.
There was no estimate available as to when the store might reopen.
