(BEDFORD) - A CSX employee found a woman lying next to the railroad tracks at 8:38 a.m. about a mile west of Tunnelton.
Shawswick and Guthrie Volunteer Fire Departments and an ambulance crew responded to the scene.
74-year-old Gerda Chastain was taken by ambulance to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment.
Chastain was reported missing to the Bedford Police Department. She was last seen in the Mitchell area on Sunday at about 5 p.m.
She was driving a silver 2003 Kia Spectra. The vehicle was also recovered at the scene.
Gerda lives in Bedford but her last cell phone location was east of Mitchell in the Lawrenceport area, State Road 60 area, and around the Lawrence County Orange County line on State Rd. 37.
