(WORTHINGTON) - Firefighters from the Worthington Fire Territory, Switz City/Fairplay-Grant Fire Territory, Highland Township Fire Department and the Linton Fire Department responded to a house fire the home of Greene County Councilman Gregg Roudebush in Worthington early Monday afternoon.
When firefighters arrived at the home 110 South Dayton Street the kitchen was on fire.
Worthington Fire Chief Kyle Steward says the fire was contained to that area and extinguished within a half an hour.
Firefighters then worked to ventilate the home of smoke.
Steward says the house has minor damage, but there will be a lot of cleanup needed and the kitchen area are had fire, smoke and water damage.
