(BROWNSTOWN) - Three people were arrested after a Jackson County officer stopped to investigate two vehicle parked along U.S. 50 east of Brownstown on Friday.
Police arrested 25-year-old Christopher Branaman of Medora, 23-year-old Jesse Burton of Seymour and 46-year-old Katherine Quade of Seymour on drug and alcohol charges.
Officers stopped to check on the motorist, thinking one of the vehicles had broke down.
While police were talking to Branaman and Burton they realized the the two were intoxicated and were attempting to drive to a home in Seymour.
Police also found Burton was in possession of drug paraphernalia and Burton had marijuana.
Branaman and Burton both face charges of operating while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or greater. Burton faces additional charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Quade, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, became argumentative with officers and was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
All three were taken to the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown.
