(BEDFORD) - A free workshop for artists will be offered on Thursday, November 12 from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce.
This program is for artists who wish to photograph their work for use in juried competitions, online sales, making prints and greeting cards, or winning freelance jobs. Students and beginning artists are welcome.
Bloomington photographer Kendall Reeves, co-owner of Spectrum Studio, Inc. and Gallery 406 will show how to present 2D and 3D art in its best possible light using simple equipment you can buy at the hardware store.
Reeves is a Bloomington native with more than 30 years of photography experience. He was the primary photographer of Bloomington: A Contemporary Portrait and Terre Haute: Crossroads of America, and A Home of Her Own coffee table books; he also has a series of postcards on Bloomington and the Indiana University campus.
This workshop is made possible by the Indiana Arts Commission and The Gayle and Bill Cook Center for Entrepreneurship at Ivy Tech Bloomington, in conjunction with the Lawrence County Art Association and the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce.
There is no cost to attend the event, but donations will be accepted for LCAA. Advance registration may be completed online at: http://dld.bz/dYXQk, or by contacting LCAA president Sammie Justesen at (812) 675-8053.
Attendees may bring their own cameras and a small piece of artwork to photograph.
