(DUBOIS CO.) - Students at Pine Ridge Elementary in Dubois County are celebrating.
A real David vs Goliath story, they won big bucks.
The school competed in the Tools For Schools competition by Old National Bank.
With just over 4,000 votes, they won.
A $5,000 check was presented to the students on Friday.
"Since this was more of a parent or community opportunity to vote, they didn't grasp it until the past few weeks when we started talking about how this money can help get the equipment that the kids really want," said Ryan Haas, Principal.
There are only 210 students at Pine Ridge.
They beat schools in Indianapolis, Evansville and even Michigan.
