(MITCHELL) - Celebrate the season like Hoosiers did in the late 1800s at Spring Mill State Park’s annual Holiday in the Village, December 4 and 5.
The event will run from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, December 4, and from 1 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 5.
Visitors can stroll through the Pioneer Village as heritage interpreters craft decorations, bake cookies and prepare to celebrate the holidays. Follow the luminaries to the village tavern where children can share their wish list with Father Christmas.
At 6:30 p.m. each evening, the village innkeeper will serve wassail and cookies to the public.
On Friday and Saturday, the Bedford Dulcimer Society will play music in the summer kitchen of the Sheek's cabin. Also on Saturday at 6 p.m., listen to holiday music by Wildflowers and Weeds in the grist mill.
Park admission is $7 per in-state vehicle and $9 per out-of-state vehicle.
