(CAMPBELLSBURG) - A Campbellsburg man was flown to the University Of Louisville Hospital after a two-vehicle collision vehicle on State Road 60 at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday.

According to a Washington County police report, 91-year-old Harold Elliott, suffered head trauma.

Police say 28-year-old James Stalker II, of Mitchell was traveling east on State Road 60 in a 1989 Toyota pickup when Elliott, who was driving a 1997 Dodge Dakota pulled from Smedley Road into the path of Stalker's pickup.

Stalker attempted to swerve to avoid the crash but was unable to.

Stalker's truck left the highway on the northside, drove into a ditch, then crossed State Road 60 before stopping on a ridge on the south side of the road.

While officers were working that accident at second one happened.

Police say 54-year-old Terry Pointer, of Clarksville, was traveling west on State Road 60 and was approaching the first accident scene and became distracted while watching emergency workers when his vehicle struck the rear passenger side of Elliott's truck.

Washington County EMS transported both Elliott and Stalker to St. Vincent Hospital where Elliott was flown to Louisville. Stalker was treated for a laceration on his left eye.
