According to a Dubois County Police report, around 4:28 p.m., 21-year-old Levi Dalton, was traveling east on State Road 56 near Dubois Crossroads when for an unknown reason, the truck crossed left of center, returned to the eastbound lane and then went off the south side of the road.
The 2014 ISU Schwan's Delivery Truck crashed into a large ditch.
Dalton, who was trapped in the truck was freed from the wreckage after Dubois Volunteer Fire Department first responders cut through the cab roof.
Dalton was then taken by a Memorial Hospital ambulance to a landing zone at the intersection of State Road 545 and 56 where a medical helicopter flew him to St. Mary's Medical Center. His condition is unknown at this time.
The road was closed for over an hour and a half while a large wrecker from Ruxer Ford assisted in removing the delivery truck from the ditch.
