(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested Sunday after he allegedly hurt a woman during a domestic fight.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers arrested 36-year-old Matthew Kelley on charges of domestic battery of domestic battery in the presence of a minor after he allegedly got into an argument with a woman and started throwing her things out of a home in the 510 block of Skyline Drive.
According to the woman, Kelley also elbowed the woman in the shoulder and the left side of her neck.
There were two children, ages 7 and 9, home during the fight.
When police arrived Kelley had fled the home.
The woman called police again at 12:48 p.m. Sunday saying Kelley had returned to the home. When officers arrived they found him asleep on the couch. He was arrested without incident.
