(BEDFORD) - A Mitchell man was arrested on multiple drug charges after he allegedly attempted to sell Epsom Salt for meth.
According to Lawrence County Chief Deputy Aaron Shoults, Beyers says sold the substance to an undercover officer on the Lawrence County Drug Task Force, Monday just before 9:50 p.m. on Dixie Highway.
Once the drug deal was over, police soon learned Beyers didn't sell them meth.
But they knew Beyers was wanted on a warrant for petition to revoke probation. So officers quickly located Beyers vehicle and pulled him over.
He was arrested on the outstanding warrant and new charges of conspiracy to deal more than 3 grams of meth, dealing in a lookalike substance, possession of a legend drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
